The Bluegrass Railroad Museum is pleased to announce a new service in two new passenger cars. Car BGRM 3478 is a long distance coach built in 1953 for the Chicago and North Western. Car BGRM 203 is a stainless steel coach built in 1939 for the Atlantic Coast Line. Both feature Electric heat and Air Conditioning and individual plush reclining seats. Individual seating in these all weather coaches is available for a slight premium fare.

C&NW 3478 was built in 1953 by American Car & Foundry for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad and operated in joint service with Union Pacific trains. Originally built as a 44 seat long distance coach, the car was eventually sold to Amtrak and renumbered to #4466. Sold into private ownership and upgraded with a generator, updated air conditioning and electric heat. The Bluegrass Railroad Museum acquired the coach from the Chatanooga and Chickamauga RR in 2011 and has refurbished the car for passenger service.
ACL 203 was built in 1939 by the Budd Company for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad for service on their premier train the Champion between New York and Miami. Sold to Amtrak and renumbered to #5602. Car is very original and complete on the interior and has a good stainless steel body. The Bluegrass Railroad Museum acquired the 56 seat coach from the Western New York and Pennsylvania railroad in 2012 and has refurbished the car for passenger service, adding a generator and new air conditioning.
