All Aboard the Boo!grass Limited: Halloween Returns to the Rails

🎃🚂 Halloween is coming back to the rails at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum!

This fall, we're bringing back one of our most popular traditions with the Boo!grass Limited, a special Halloween evening excursion designed for families, friends, and anyone who loves a little spooky fun.

On Saturday, October 17, climb aboard our historic train for a 6:30 PM departure and settle in for a scenic journey through the beautiful Kentucky countryside. Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed as your favorite character, creature, superhero, or anything else you can imagine!

A Scenic Halloween Adventure

As the Boo!grass Limited travels west from the museum, passengers will enjoy views of rolling Kentucky countryside, working farms, open fields, and beautiful Thoroughbred horse country. As daylight fades, the scenery takes on a whole new atmosphere—making this a perfect fall evening to spend together.

Our destination is Abbott Station at the Life Adventure Center, where the Halloween fun continues.

Passengers will have the opportunity to:

After enjoying the festivities at Abbott Station, we'll climb back aboard the train and make our way home, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the ride.

A Halloween Tradition Returns

Halloween train rides have a special place in the history of the Bluegrass Railroad Museum. For years, these excursions were among our most popular events, bringing families together for an evening of costumes, candy, and railroad adventure.

The tradition was retired in 2016—but now, nearly a decade later, Halloween is returning to the Bluegrass Railroad!

The Boo!grass Limited is a new generation of that beloved tradition, combining the charm of a historic train ride with the simple joys of a Kentucky fall evening.
